Musical Ensemble

The ensembles started in 1984. They appeared for the first time in August 1984 at the Speech and Art Festival in Lefkada, under the guidance of the Chief Musician Dionysios Georgakis.

They revived again on 20-5-1989 under the responsibility of the sub Chief Musician Spyros Katopodis. It was a unique amateur effort of musical expression and it paid back significantly.

After a period of absence, in 1998 Chief Musician Gerasimos Messini began a new effort to expand and upgrade the artistic activity of the Philharmonic by creating musical ensembles, making many successful appearances, which have continued ever since.
